Vandalay Brands Donates Over $6K to LA Chefs Initiative for Wildfire Relief

At Vandalay Brands, giving back to our community and supporting the greater culinary world is part of who we are. We’re proud to announce that thanks to the incredible generosity of our guests, we’ve donated over $6,000 to the Chicago Chefs Cook Organization’s LA Chefs Initiative.

Throughout January and February, guests dining at our restaurants—Pescadero Seafood and Oyster Bar, Napolita Pizzeria and Wine Bar (Northbrook and Wilmette), Double Clutch Brewing Company, Millennium Hall Restaurant, Lizzie McNeill's Irish Pub, and Casa Bonita Mexican Restaurant—helped make a meaningful impact by enjoying special menu items designed to raise funds for this essential cause.

Supporting LA’s Restaurant Community During Crisis

The LA Chefs Initiative was launched to provide immediate assistance to the restaurant and hospitality industry in Los Angeles County, which has been devastated by wildfires. By dining with us during this special initiative, our patrons directly contributed to the recovery and revitalization of the culinary community in LA County.

The proceeds have been donated to Restaurants Care, an organization dedicated to providing emergency relief to LA restaurant workers through a designated wildfire relief fund. Since 2017, Restaurants Care has provided hope and stability to over 2,300 workers and 1,600 independent restaurants.

We’re incredibly grateful to our guests for supporting this initiative. Your generosity not only made a difference for the individuals and families who rely on Restaurants Care, but it also showed how Chicago’s restaurant community can come together to help those in need—even hundreds of miles away.
